Point Lables for the Bar chart

Hi friends,

We are using SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services for our project. In one of our reports we are showing horizontal bar chart along with the values in front the bar. for eg Graph is Asset Class VS Percentage values. We have Equity , FI , Cash , Others as Asset Class along with percentage values. In graph we are displaying Equity first. When we excecute report I can see the percentage values for FI , cash , others but not for equity.

If I change the order and get equity last then I cant see the value of Others . In short the bar which is coming first is not showing value in front of it. So where I am making mistake ?

can any one help me out ?

regards

sandy.....

As you have already discovered, this is discussed in the following thread: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=208591&SiteID=1

plus/minus icon

hi,
the plus/minus icon is showing the inverse of the current state of the group
i.e. if the group is open (meaning that the sub rows are visible) the icon
shows as plus instead of minus, and vice versa.
my report is defaulting to the hidden=false option, and probably this is
why. So how can i have my report default to a full view and have the
plus/minus icon show correctly? or is this a bug or something? This can be a little tricky to get set up.
Take a look at the Visibility tab on the Advanced Textbox Properties dialog.
It has a option to control the initial appearance of the toggle item.

PLEASE! count of groups

I have a report with one group level where I am hiding detail and only
showing group totals. This report is summarized/grouped by device (like a
system name) and I am trying to calc the total number of devices monitored
which would be equal to the number of groups I have on the report. I have
tried all the aggregate functions RowNumber(nothing) to count outer most
level, CountDistinct, RowCount, CountRows ... etc etc and nothing gives me
what I want. If I were to code it ... I would have some counter that every
time I created a group footer then I would add 1 to the counter. It seems
that this should be something simple (and maybe it is!) but the expression I
am grouping on is a system name (so cant use THAT like a sum). I would do it
at the database level but I am using a stored procedure so cant modify the
sql. I tried to create (add) a field (as you would a calculated field or
database field) but got some error about out of bounds for array or
something. This is driving me nuts! please help!!!I got it to work finally. Now the problem is that I want to display the
device count in a textbox at the end of the report and I get an error trying
to reference the field I just created in the table portion of the report. In
the table (called table1 in the report) I entered the following expression
in the textbox I named DeviceCount
=CountDistinct( Fields!Resource_Name.Value , "table1") which gives me a
count of the devices being monitored and reported on ... which is goodness.
However ... I need to display that value in the textbox at the bottom of
the report.
I enter the following expression and get an error
="Total number of devices monitored for this Client:" +
(ReportItems!DeviceCount.Value, "table1")

No problem referencing now using expression:
="Total number of devices monitored for this Client:" &
ReportItems!DeviceCount.Value
I would like to know if there is a way to reference it in the body of the
report without having to use the footer though. Thanks!

of the report?

The value expression for the textbox â'textbox7â' refers to the report item
â'DeviceCountâ'. Report item expressions can only refer to other report items
within the same grouping scope or a containing grouping scope.

to assigne a name to your group, then use that name in the countrows function.
Best of luck!

Please help.

Dear Friends
I am facing a strange problem. I am using the merge
replication from two offices for my database and the
current changes are showing perfectly on both the end but
for last two days change the database if diffrent some
information is in the Site one database which is updated
locally and some information is in site two which was
updated locally at site two.
Please suggest how the same data will be refelected in
both the database.
Your earlier reply would be a great help.
Best regard
Sharad
Sharad,
not sure I follow you completely, but it seems what you are talking about is
conflict resolution, where two computers involved in merge replication
change the same data before synchronizing. By default the publisher will win
conflicts with the subscriber, and if you have more than one subscriber the
first one to synchronize takes on the priority of the publisher. If such a
conflict has occurred then you can see it in the system conflict tables -
"conflict_..." and "....conflicts" or in the related graphical interface -
conflict viewer (right-click on the publication and select view
conflicts). There are more advanced setups involving priority numbers,
conflict resolution routines and custom resolvers - details in BOL.
HTH,
Paul Ibison
|||Dear Pual
Thanks for your reply. but it is not a conflict as i do
not see anything in the option of view conflict but the
data in the two database is diffrent. to give you clear
idea.
I have a table Sales which is having fields one two three
and four
The one and two is feeded and updated by Server1
The Three and four is updated by Server2
Now in both the server i can see that the updation done
by the local user is showing in respective server but not
in the replicated server like the infromation of one and
two is not there in the server2
I hope i have put the query right now.
Please help
Best regards
Sharad
